CHCP

Displays the number of the active character set (code page). You 
can also use the CHCP command to change the active character set 
for all devices that support character set switching.

Note:
For example, I can switch to simplified Chinese using the following 
command in Windows NT/2000:

CHCP 936

To switch back to English(US), I type:

CHCP 437

To get the information of the current language status, I type:

CHCP
