DEL Deletes the files you specify. Note: DEL cannot delete a directory tree. To delete a directory tree, use DELTREE (in MS-DOS/Windows 9x/Me) or RD (in Windows NT/2000) command instead. DEL command cannot delete a file with read-only, hidden or system attribute. To delete such files, you should use ATTRIB command to change the attributes of the file first. For more information on ATTRIB, please refer to my document "ATTRIB.EXE" in the section "MS-DOS Basic Knowledge (for Beginners)". For more information, please refer to MS-DOS Help or Windows NT command line command help.
