TYPE Displays the contents of a text file. Note: TYPE command is only suitable for plain text files. If you want to modify a text file, you can use EDIT command. Sometimes, you can use the TYPE command to read a hidden file. Also, if the hidden file is a text file, you can copy it in this way: TYPE source_filename > target_filename .
